Looking at the panel this week, there was nothing to say “one more little patch.” In 2.2.3, our main concern was that a number of things were lost along the way as we carried someone to CPalius. The user stays, the subject stays, the visual does not stay. Or it stays, but it stands as BBCode. Or it is not in Yapı, it is on the transport list. Such absurd situations.

In short: import now takes both the file and the text seriously. After the import, we tried not to look like an "unfinished old site" in the forum.

Importing the old site

There was XML in WordPress, most people in XenForo and MyBB wanted a SQL dump or live database. You select both from the same screen. If you want, just pick up the users, if you want, mark the steps one by one. There is no imposition of “take it all in turn, force addictions as well”.

The original file folder was missing. In WordPress wp-content/uploads was already being asked. On XenForo errorIf possible:internal_data/ with), on MyBB uploads/ avatars, message attachments, post images remained in place. Now you are giving that folder as a zip or path. The member avatar is coming. Attach. / [attachment=] image. XenForo emojis are written here if available locally.

Accounts without email no longer drop with "ignore". If the username conflicts, we add suffixes. The map is also kept in the dry-run, and the connected steps are not skipped in vain.

BBCode remaining in the forum

In imported messages user, iMgThings like, mention could stay without going back to HTML. New arrivals are transformed; old ones are corrected while being viewed. XenForo smilies are also coming, the codes are linked to the emoji/visual on the page.

Rebuild refreshes names in postbit from their current username. So that there is no distortion such as "There is a name in the profile, there is an old nick in the post".

We ate it ourselves, so I'm writing it. After XenForo, there are several sections in Studio → Forum → Yapı, while moving the subject on the site, a lot of categories appear on the target board. They are not hidden either; if they were hidden in the panel, they would still be visible.

The reason is more boring: the building tree was only walking from its “Chapter” roots. Rootless forums on XenForo (flat board, not category) Nextemptyis_container closed. The transport list shows “every board that accepts the subject”, the Structure was skipping them because it did not count them as roots. Those with XF Category, such as Hosting Forum Genel, become Departments and stand with their children. Rootless forums such as Flatcast, Classifieds, Forum Announcement were disappearing.

We fixed it. The structure shows all the roots. The same boards stand under "Other boards" on the forum homepage. You don't need to re-import; just refresh Yapi after the files arrive.

Email code on login

After the password, we tried to ask everyone for a mail code. When the SMTP appeared “open” and the mail remained in the queue (the AACP test mail was going immediately, the access code was written in the queue), people stayed outside. This was wrong.

The code now goes in the same request as the test email. If he doesn't go, we don't keep the session there. AACP → Security has "Email verification at login" on/off. Default is off. Do not leave open if SMTP and queue worker are not clear.

Panel side

What should you do?

Update to 2.2.3from the panel. cp: update opens the forum smilie table; then cp-core/var/cache/prod/ empty it (keep the folder).
