The CPalius 1.x era

CPalius 1.x is the period from 1.0.0, the first stable core release, to 1.1.3, the release just before 2.0.0. This section describes everything added in that period, topic by topic; each release's own notes are under Release notes.

Timeline

Release Date What it brought
1.0.0 2026-09-14 First stable release: module system, permissions, the AACP panel, ten modules, the security layer
1.1.0 "Liman" 2026-09-14 Remote storage (S3, R2, FTP), media offload, off-site backups, CDN, file-level patches
1.1.1 2026-09-14 A marker file for interrupted updates, with Resume and Roll back
1.1.2 2026-09-16 Editable mails, mail in the member's language, administrator approval for e-mail and username changes
1.1.3 2026-09-16 The patch installer's own bug: redirect after success, verified cache purge

2.0.0 followed the same day (16 September 2026), a major release that changes table names and collation. See Moving from 1.x to 2.0.

Requirements (1.0.0)

  • PHP 8.4 or newer
  • Extensions: ctype, fileinfo, iconv, pdo_mysql, mbstring, openssl, and gd or imagick
  • Database: MySQL 8.0+ or MariaDB 10.6+
  • Production cache: Redis for the application cache and sessions, Memcached for the fragment cache

Known limits of this era

  • Production mode requires Redis and Memcached; a filesystem fallback is defined only for dev and test.
  • Forum search is LIKE-based; a full-text index is recommended for large datasets.
  • Private messaging is not part of 1.x.
  • Remote storage is only a copy; the "remote primary" mode, where the original lives only in the bucket, is not in 1.x.
  • Patches apply as a chain; intermediate versions cannot be skipped.
